The best
I have purchased several Russian language books over the last 15 years. This is the best, mainly because it has one major feature missing from all the others. English pronunciation is included from start to finish whereas all the others assume you have learned enough by the end of chapter two not to require this assistance. Not recommended
Half the battle learning russian is learning the cyrillic alphabet and this book, relying only on transliteration of the pronounced sounds and not the actual russian letters, falls way short of what is needed. The book therefore cannot be recommended.
