The Peacock Barbie was the first doll to hit the store from Mattel's Birds of Beauty collection. Released in 1998, this enchanting Barbie doll has become a treasured collectible. The Peacock Barbie stands 11.5 inches tall. She comes with rooted yellow hair and painted blue eyes. Her hair is swept back from her face and swirled into an exotic knot on top of her head. A vibrantly colored blue scarf wraps around the crown of her head. These details combine to create a truly elegant look. The facial features on this Barbie doll are accentuated with gold drop earrings set with turquoise-colored stones.This Barbie doll is stunning in her high-fashion gown with matching detached sleeves. This Barbie gown includes a full-length A-line velvet skirt of midnight blue. The dark color of the skirt is enhanced by the royal blue shade of the satin bodice. The bottom of this form-fitted bodice is accented with beautiful gold trim. The facial beauty of Barbie is complemented by the neckline's gold trim. It's inset with sparkling turquoise stones. The trim used to accent the neck of the bodice also wraps around the doll's neck as a strap. The two top sections of the heart-shaped bodice are folded over to show a contrasting turquoise-colored fabric.Reminiscent of the glamorous styles of the 50s, this Barbie outfit is enhanced with an additional flared wrap skirt. Incorporating the colors of the birds this doll was designed after, the wrap features shades of turquoise and royal blue. This flared skirt wrap flows elegantly down from a large royal blue bow at Barbie's back. The accessories Barbie wears complement the shades of blue used to create her magnificent peacock gown. In addition to her royal blue headscarf, Barbie also wears a pair of ocean blue shoes. Her beauty is further enhanced by her turquoise-colored detached satin sleeves.A peacock would not be complete without its dramatic plumage. This extraordinary collectible Barbie comes with her own extravagant plumes. Five gorgeous peacock feathers extend from the back of the gown's royal blue bow. In true peacock fashion, each feather contains the captivating center blue eye. These feathers fan out to create a dramatic backdrop for Barbie's head. Stunning piece to add a lil sass to a high end Victorian/peacock/jungle/new age type room.. The details on this Barbie are gorgeous.. Who doesn’t love a lil Barbie from our past ;) She’s an excellent selection for your collection or just to own one doll to make you smile..
