Best Western Ever Made!
Absolutely, without a doubt, the BEST western ever made! Be weary of the earlier 2000 Artisan/ Hallmark full screen boxed set- Its TRASH! (The master looks like it was taken off of a VHS copy!) This RHI copy is the one to have. It’s remastered and widescreen and it’s great! And again, the best western ever made. Best western movie ever!
Such a good movie, makes other westerns seem lame! Of course, i am a huge Robert Duvall fan & always love him as a cowboy, seems to me to be his best roles. Totally Awesome Western 'Lonesome Dove'
I have loved the Lonesome Dove series since it first came out. The main characters Robert Duval and Tommy Lee Jones, Diane Lane, Anjelica Huston and many others are absolutely great. The story line is entertaining and engaging. I watch it every holiday, and I know it so well now that I can cook and have dinner with my family while it is playing in the background. Excellent movie

The best Western ever made.

It's a great movie!
DIsc One has some type of background noise the first 35-37 minutes of the DVD. Have played on several different players but with the same results.
