Mario Bava, (BLOOD AND BLACK LACE, BAY OF BLOOD) master of the Italian suspense film, tries his hand at science fiction with this stylishly mod twist on the vampire legend. Two spacecrafts on the same mission land on a strange, misty planet. The crew members each find themselves overcome by a hostile alien force which causes homicidal impulses in each of them. As the astronauts are killed one by one, the dead won't stay dead, which complicates things greatly for the remaining living crew who are attempting for unravel the mystery of the strange forces at hand. Great set design, pleasingly garish colors, and a genuine sense of dread have made this a cult favorite.

    vampires on misty planet, what could go wrong. Excellent mood. Mario Bava classic film.

    Iliked seeing this movie again. It has been over twenty years since ISaw it last. Picture and sound were excellent.

    A Good Low-Budget Sci-Fi Thriller

    An effective science-fiction thriller that transcends its low budget. While not a great movie, it is fun. The costumes and sets are good, and the music is eerie. There are some slow spots, but overall it's worth a look.

    A great Italian Sc-Fi film!

    This flick has everything, a mysterious alien planet, awesome spacecraft, giant alien skeletons and the coolest uniforms you'll ever see from the era! A bit thin on the plot side but this film knows how to set a mood. I'm sure Ridley Scott used this film as an inspiration for his Alien films! Along with a few others from this era. The DVD itself used a great print and the film looks great with vibrant colors.

    Good example of Italian sci-fi

    This is one of my favorite Italian sci-fi movies from the 1960's and if you are a fan of the movie Alien you will see some some very familiar scenes.
