SynopsisAn American classic and great bestseller for over thirty years, A Separate Peace is timeless in its description of adolescence during a period when the entire country was losing its innocence to World War II. Nominated as one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read. • Story of a kid at a boarding school in Northern England during WWII

In its 38th printing, this is a classic "coming of age" story that is one of the greatest novels I've ever red -- and I had never even heard of it until a friend recommended it. Fabulous piece of literature -- extremely well written on top of being a great story. Ranks right up there with Catcher In The Rye and To Kill A Mockingbird.

  • Tons highlighting and writing in book

The description said that this book was in good condition. When I got the book it was decent, a couple bent corners, the cover was in pretty good shape. But when I opened it, almost all of the text was highlighted and lots of writing in the book.

This book was not the type of reading I enjoy. Well written but the storyline was too slow.

  • Reflects the essence of the theme

Excellent book. Transcendent literature that conveys true human nature and our reactions to life. Strength and vulnerability in the various situations and relationships that form us.
