I thought it was predictable, but couldn't imagine how BIG a hit it was!
This movie is STUNNING! Right from the start it grabs you by the throat with one hand and starts pounding you in the stomach off and on with the other. It doesn't often let up. This is not a beat-you-up-with-a-bible movie so don't avoid it with that fear. It is a passionate and madly captivating life story that moves quickly and fills your senses. Great preformances by all, and yet another stunning hit from the legendary Dennis Quaid, this movie is full of great actors doing what they do best. You will not regret watching this, and it may even take you to a new place, a place you will never regret, a place you can't even imagine. Be warned, bring cleanex. You will be glad you did, at least once.

bitterness to love
This is a must see movie based on a true story. I liked it so much I had to have a copy . A lot of the things this guy faced are real to some people and with faith he over came these problems and also his father overcome his negativeness and becoming a great person. At first the son could not forgive his father, but the Lord touched both of them. In the end the Lord blessed him with a singing career and a wife who believed in him.

Touching and inspiring story with amazing performances
My husband and I love this song, so we saw this movie in theaters. I cried through the entire movie. We were touched and inspired by it so much, that I decided to buy a copy to keep and share with loved ones. The movie is based on the true life story of christian artist Bart Millard. It gives us an inside look at what a child goes through when a mother leaves a child behind in a struggling and dysfunctional family relationship. It shows just how God's mercy and forgiveness helped a young man to overcome an abusive and turbulent relationship with his father. It helps you to see how your whole life and future relationships are impacted by bitterness from past relationships. By receiving God's forgiveness, he was able to forgive his father for the past and rebuild a relationship with him as he is dying from cancer. Dennis Quaid and J. Michael Finley bring you right into the story with their awesome performances.

My review of I Can Only Imagine
I absolutely adore this precious movie! It tells the life story of Bart Miller and how he grew up with his mom and dad and it is something that has to be watched from beginning to end to if you want to make sense of it. It shows Bart Miller as a little boy and how horrible his father used to treat him and his mother, and it shows his experience with this girl he meets named Shannon. She is his girlfriend. And he definetly makes some friends in Camp Glorietta and in school. His dad used to be really harsh and basically told him not to follow his dreams but in the end he changes because he learns about Jesus shortly after falling down in the diner and then the nurses discover that he has cancer. I can't imagine what he went through trying to hide that from his son Bart for so long but he refused treatment and Bart doesn't find out until later on. It shows how God can change a person from the inside out.

Incredible true story that inspired the song!
As a victim of physical and emotional abuse, I could relate to this movie. Children internalize everything and feel it's all their fault, when in reality it's the abuser who is sick. Borderline personality disorder is not well publicized, and an afflicted parent destroys the lives of the entire family. But after discovering he had cancer, Bart' Millard's father turned to God and began the process of changing his life, and Bart's relationship with his father began to heal. The movie is riveting and a must-see! It shows that there is hope even in the worst of situations, and that God can change anyone's life.

Very good movie
“I Can Only Imagine” is an inspirational movie. Very good story about the life of one great singer/songwriter and a legendary singing group. Me and my family enjoyed watching. I have watched it many times, and will watch it again in the future.

We have no idea how great Heaven will be!
We enjoyed the story line of this movie, even though he was told his music wasn't good enough, he kept singing because HE loved it! In the end he has proved he certainly was not only good, but great!! Don't give up, just because someone is negative to you.

Everyone can relate to the story and experience a new enlightenment for personal growth. The truth about what bitterness creates and how true unconditional love and forgiveness frees ones life and countless others who are in bondage!
