CD Projekt's fantasy RPG returns with a massive open world and fierce new protagonists capable of destroying whole settlements in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Gamers once again take control of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter with supernatural powers, and one of the last remaining witchers in the world. The titular Wild Hunt refers to a mysterious group of deathly riders who are thought to steal people's spirits, incorporate the ill-gotten souls into their undead army, and then lay waste to large swaths of land. Only Geralt can halt their deadly progress.<br><br>Players can freely explore vast environments, including bustling cities, dense forests, fetid swamps, open seas, and even underwater locales, with horses, sailboats, and a fast-travel system serving to help gamers cover long distances. The tactical combat system finds Geralt using a variety of melee weapons, magic attacks, and ranged items like his new crossbow, and players can also engage in mounted combat, or use the environment to inflict damage. New witcher senses help gamers gain clues about their surroundings, new climbing mechanics let them clamber over rocky terrain, and they can still concoct potions and craft items to help them on their adventures.<br><br>Wild Hunt features realistic weather patterns and day/night cycles, with some of the game's mythical beasts exhibiting wildly different behavior and abilities depending on the time of day. CD Projekt estimates the main storyline to last about 50 hours, with another 50 hours of gameplay coming in the form of leveled side quests. As in the two previous games in the series, Wild Hunt's missions offer a variety of difficult moral dilemmas, and the choices players make early in the game can have a dramatic effect on events much later in the story.

    Exelent buy

    In my opinion, this is one of those few games that managed to have an extremely large area of play, a very strong compelling story, and likable characters. It is actually fun to travel across the map in this game. Traveling was one of my least favorite parts of open world games. I wanted the ability to do it, but I never liked doing it mostly because of the drab landscapes, or lack of interesting things along the way. The Witcher 3 changed that. When I travel it feels real, the landscape changes, as well with the weather, and it is so cool when I would rather take a longer rout to a destination because I want to take in the beauty of the land. Also it would mean that I could stumble across a cool side quest along the way. Over all this game is definitely worth the price, even if you ...

    EXCELLENT TOP OF THE LINE GRAPHICS GAME

    Excellent game. I enjoy the pace of the game and the challenges. They are many and varied. The card game Gwent adds an interesting side note to the game without having any real effect on the outcome of the story. I am running all of the graphics on "ultra" setting with a very durable Intel i7 Skylake processor. There are a few glitches in the game that you have to watch out for but there is lots of help available on YouTube. A few of the graphics, like the windmill are not rendering realistic on my game, but that may be one of my settings somewhere. Overall, I highly recommend this game. It will keep you busy for about 200 hours with the basic package. Addons are reasonable at just about ten bucks each.

    Amazing Story and Addictive Action

    Got this title brand new on eBay for less than $25 and it is the best RPG I've ever played. With most RPGs the quests and the environment get old very quick. This is not your usual cookie-cutter open world RPG. The plot and the quests are consistently fresh and challenging. Everything from the crafting to the battle system are far and above that of Skyrim. Unlike Skyrim this is not a monotonous trudge through familiar territory. I will likely buy the DLC and play this title more than once.

    Fun game

    It will suck you in for a good long time. My only real complaint is that it is hard to move around smoothly, Skyrim is better. The copy I got was supposed to come with a set of enhancements through GOG, but it turned out that the code needed had been used. A bit of a let down.

    Poor game and not worth my time!!!

    The controls are slow and clunky. Trying to kill a gryphon is hard to see where it's head is on the ground. The player view is all over the place. I am sorry I bought this game!!!
