In the AC/DC Starter Pack Vinyl Bundle you get three of AC/DC's Vinyl Albums. Angus Young, the leader and lead guitarist of AC/DC says "I am sick and tired of everyone saying we have eleven albums that sound exactly the same. We have TWELVE albums that sound exactly the same!" And to start out collecting all of them we bring you Back in Black, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and Highway to Hell. All three on Vinyl, amd all three distinctly AC/DC. BACK IN BLACK Vinyl LP pressing. 2003 digital re-master of the Australian rockers' seventh album. Released in July, 1980, Back in Black was the first AC/DC album recorded without former lead singer Bon Scott, who died in February of that year. Back in Black was the first album to feature vocalist Brian Johnson, formerly of Geordie. Producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who had previously worked with AC/DC on Highway to Hell, was again brought in to produce. The album was recorded at Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, and Electric Lady Studios in New York, where the album was also mixed. DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP 2003 reissue on 180-gram vinyl LP. Aussie fans first heard this album in 1976, but American audiences didn't catch it until it was slightly modified and released in 1981. Any way they cut it, "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" was a huge hit. Written by original lead singer Bon Scott and brothers Angus & Malcolm Young, the album peaked at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart in 1981. Hits included the title track "Big Balls", "Problem Child" and "Squealer." The band's early production team of Harry Vanda and George Young helped to craft this hard rock classic. This version is the superior sounding re-mastered 2003 reissue on 180-gram vinyl. Talk about high voltage! The boys are at their greasy, gritty, tawdry early peak, with diesel-fueled thundering guitars and take-no-prisoners attitude. HIGHWAY TO HELL Vinyl LP reissue from 2003. Original lead vocalist Bon Scott left a kickin' legacy on this classic AC/DC album from 1979. His tragic passing in early 1980 overshadowed the album's success, but he left the charts burning with the hits "Highway to Hell" (#47 on the Billboard Hot 100), "Girls Got Rhythm" and "Touch Too Much." Famed producer Mutt Lange also helped push the band's envelope, and the album peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200 chart. Through the advances in digital technology, the classic was successfully remastered with a greater clarity and intensity in 2003. The vinyl LP remains a masterpiece of hard rock.
