This new one is way better quality than the original Leica hood! It’s metal perfectly constructed. In addition the adapter ring for the hood allows me to use regular 39mm filters on my CL. Anyone still using an analog Leica CL with the 40/2 lens needs to get one of these! And the price is very reasonable. Thank you very much for providing this product!

I have the original rubber hood for my Summicron-C 40mm f2 lens, but it has developed a small tear so i didn't want to continue using it and risking further damage. This replacement fits very well, and looks very similar to the hoods for some of my other Leica lenses. I have a Leitz UVa filter between the adaptor ring and the hood and it works well. In conclusion I can highly recommend this hood.
