I also completed this pilgrimage last year along with walking from Stockport to Walsingham. I use compede roll on skin also. I haven't had a blister while on these last two walks. I change the socks only when wet for another pair of the same. I also change my shoes when wet. Wonderful product. I only regret no finding these while I served in the military.
