A deal is struck between the two in the wee hours of the morning allowing Lucy to stay in the house and the captain to materialize only in the master bedroom. As they gradually get to know each other better, Lucy's spunk and stubbornness gains first the captain's grudging respect, then his heart. But when another man woos Lucy, both must face that her future lies with the living, not in the spirit world.A timeless romantic favorite, THE GHOST AND MRS. MUIR subtly traces the complex development of friendship and love, themes that director Mankiewicz excels with in films such as A LETTER TO THREE WIVES and ALL ABOUT EVE, projecting a keen understanding of the tangled emotions and motives that compel people toward their fates. The film is based on the novel by R.A. Dick and scored by Bernard Herrmann.

    The seller quickly responds to queries. He’s also very nice and sent the Uno cards as quickly as possible and sturdily packed. II, however, was disappointed that the cards are quite small, not the large ones we are used to, as this was not mentioned. I do HIGHLY recommend this seller, and would again shop from him!

    Great Film

    Great film and a spectacular Blu Ray presentation. Probably Gene Tierney's greatest performance and see Natalie Wood as her little daughter is such a treat. Joseph L. Mankiewicz was a great drector and his films with Gene Tierney (Dragonwyck and Ghost) are lovely. A truly wonderful film far superior to the TV Series of the 70s.

    Pure Gene Tierney

    "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" is a hidden but precious gem. It is essentially perfect from every point of view: the direction by Mankiewicz, the acting by Gene Tierney (Mrs. Muir), Rex Harrison (captain Gregg), George Sanders, the performances by the supporting cast, the beautiful cinematography and the evocative setting on the lonely shores of Southern England, though actually filmed in California. The basic idea in the plot is simple but original. The script is brilliant and sharply written: typical English wit and subtle humor, mingled with a nonsensical, funny, yet truly romantic love story. An amusing touch is one of the motives of the movie: the way captain Gregg's raw language affects Mrs. Muir's perfect manners. In the very opening scenes she utters "My blasted in-laws": nothing ...

    A wonderful classic movie gets wonderful treatment on Blu-ray :)

    The Blu-ray version of THE GHOST AND MRS. MUIR is fantastic! :) A friend of mine (who is a Blu-ray reviewer) told me that the Blu-ray is sourced from a 4K restoration, and the picture quality is gorgeous. :) This is one Blu-ray title you should buy if you're a fan of classic films!

    A Classic Film

    This is the original movie and it never loses it's charm. Love it. Calm and relaxing to watch, they just don't make movies like this anymore. I enjoy it every time I watch it.
