We have Christian Movie nights at my house 2 to 3 times a year.It is sometimes hard to find movies that get the message of faith out. Our Sunday school class was shown snipits of this movie. A Disappointment
I wanted to like this and I am a fan of old-school animation. Even as a Christian, I have always had a hard time getting through Pilgrim's Progress as a story, so I was hoping a shortened version for my elementary aged daughter (in animation form) would help her and me enjoy and understand the story better. It didn't help. In fact, the animation was creepy and depressing. Allegory is hard for young kids and this DVD didn't make the story more engaging or understandable for my daughter or myself. It's Okay. Pretty good.
I like Pilgrim's Progress. It's a great story and the best allegory for the christian life. This movie is both very well designed and decently told, but the animation can be a bit creepy and off at times. It scared me as a kid at some parts, but it can be very pleasant to look at most of the time. I think they just did'nt have the best budget for this kind of story. It's very short though. I recommend you watch it at least once if you like the story. It's only 35 minutes long, so it's a pretty condensed version of the story, but most of the plot elements are still there.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Did not receive the one pictured. 2 different productions of this title. Totally bummed. I was so excited to find it and was completely let down.

Pilgrims Progress Is Great
I like this dvd because it not only tells but shows with drama how far man fell from God and the weight of slavery to Satan that men fell under and how Satan does everything he can to blind us and keep us under his chains. It tells of when we receive light when someone prays for us and brings the gospel to us that breaks the chains of sin off our lives when we receive Jesus. It tells of how he will never leave or forsake us but will be there for us when we call upon him. Christian lives out in this drama, the things innumerable christians in this world live out every day and shows that we do not live it out alone.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
