NotesJeff Hamilton Trio has been together for over 17 years and this is their first live recording for Capri! It was recorded in the intimate setting of Alva's Showroom in San Pedro California before an audience of friends and die-hard fans. The tunes are made up of 3 standards including a delightful version of Poinciana, I Have Dreamed from the team of Rogers and Hammerstein and Thelonious Monk & rsquo;s In Walked Bud as well as originals by Hamilton, John Clayton, Tamir Hendelman, Matt Wilson, Joe La Barbara and George Robert. The CD is dedicated to Jeff's mom who passed away 16 days after the recording was made.

Highly Recommended
I heard the Trio in concert at Jazz Port Townsend this year and they were phenomenal! They did a number of the same songs that are on the album. A lively, electric performance recaptured on this live CD. Highly recommended!
