Following her tragic passing in July, some of the producers and musicians who worked closely wit Amy Winehouse, among them Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, spent time listening over the many recordings that Amy had made FRANK and BACK TO BLACK. It was said by all who worked with Amy that never sang or played a song the same way twice. It quickly became apparent to Salaam and Mark that they had a collection of songs that deserved to be heard, a collection of songs that were a fitting testament to Amy the artists and as importantly, Amy their friend. LIONESS: HIDDEN TREASURES, the third album from Amy Winehouse, is a 12-track collection of previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions of existing classics, as well as a couple of brand new compositions.

    Amy Winehouse had remarkable range!

    Amy Winehouse duets with Tony Bennett, collaborates with Naz and covers Carole King effortlessly on this collection; she has the facility of Rickie Lee Jones, the soulfulness of Janis Joplin, yet her specificity as a vocalist is entirely her own! Her cover of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" is startling because she cuts through the girl group sound while maintaining the melodic line, she brings the jazz to this the way that Janis brought the blues to "Summertime". Amy Winehouse had a gift that is most evident when she is covering songs by other writers; a wonderful talent :D

    HER BEST EVER

    Just loved Amy Winehouse I believe I have all of the music she has made. This CD was a gift. I chose this because Lioness is my favorite. Not one bad song on this CD. However I love all her music. Her death was such a great loss to the music industry.

    Great CD at a Great Price

    If you’re a fan of Amy Winehouse, this is a must have. I am sure most of the original fans already have it, but for us late comers, it is great. Only wish I would’ve found Amy sooner.
