Air out the tights, slip on the mask, don the cape, and prepare to flex some muscles in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, an action role-playing game featuring the largest cast of costumed crusaders and mutant messiahs in a video game to date. Twenty Marvel superheroes have joined forces to combat the diabolical Dr. Doom and his Masters of Evil. The action will take players to Atlantis, the Skrull home world, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Heli-Carrier, and more as they guide a four-person party through 17 comic book-inspired locales. Moves include a flurry of air and ground strikes, from grapples and blocks to chargeable powers and deadly combos. Objects within the environment can also cause damage, and a choice of one- and two-handed weapons can help less extraordinary heroes mete out justice against throngs of enemies. Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions add a number of visual enhancements to the action, including dynamic lighting effects, articulated body parts, and more.<br><br>As players decide on which heroes to enlist in their super group, including such iconic characters as Spider-Man, Wolverine, The Thing, Captain America, Elektra, and Thor, they can customize their team's name, icon, and vehicle. The party's reputation will increase over time through heroic deeds and by successfully completing mission objectives, allowing players the opportunity to further enhance the team's or a specific character's attributes. The cast includes more than 140 comic book characters in total, many of which are available in the single-player storyline and can be unlocked for multiplayer action. The latter supports both cooperative and competitive battles, with in-game statistics tracked for each team as players earn experience points and receive powerful new equipment. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance also features unlockable bonus content, such as alternate costumes that modify a character's base statistics in the areas of defense, melee damage, and so forth.

    Product came as described, amazing value for the game. Product came shipped in a square envelope and a paper sleeve holding the disc. Finally get to relive my childhood nostalgia playing as starkiller again. Shipping took 3 weeks, but it was well worth it considering the low price I paid. Thanks so much!!!!!!!

    Everything was great from this seller was refunded for corrupted/scratched disc my other order was perfect ..great seller great communication great value was shipped great appearance had a few small deep scratches wich stopped me from progressing again was refunded I do not in anyway blame the seller the seller would've had to have played the game for a couple hrs to have discovered this

    Good seller! Lack of tracking was a bit of a bummer but package arrived quickly and it great condition. Items condition was good and seller described product accurately. The packaging could have led to damage but thankfully none was done to this disk. I would recommend this seller.

    A Must Have For Couch Co-Op Fans!

    I bought the PS2 version of this years ago but never got to finish it. This version has a better, smoother graphical look, as well as better sound. I love the choices of heroes to use in the game. My only complaint is when you play alone, most of your A.I. teammates aren't very bright...So, grab this game to add to your superhero collection! I think you will glad that you did and mad that you didn't get it sooner.

    Blast from the past

    This game was as good back then as it is now. Marvel ultimate alliance captures the best thing about the marvel comics and puts them into a game with a original story. Huge selection of characters as-well, more if you get the gold edition. Overall is a 8/10 game. But honestly it wouldn’t have been enjoyable unless you at least have one friend or your just switching constantly.

    Good game cut at the knees by the publisher

    The game is as good as it was 10 years ago, but only after buying it did i learn they discontinued the DLC for this game requiring you to instead buy the Gold version at literally 600% the cost on the used games market. Very disappointed that not only is there no new DLC but the content i enjoyed when I previously owned the game was stripped away. Not cool Activision

    Marvel’s version of Injustice

    In looking for something in the Marvel world to compete with DC Comics InJustice games this was the best one I could find. I like it better cause you play with 4 hero’s at a time and you can swap them out with a choice of over 10 other heroes whenever you want to.

    this game had so many scratches on it I"...

    this game had so many scratches on it I"m surprised it actually played for the first few hours. It was in bad condition had to take it to get it resurfaced
