The Zeiss Touit 12mm f2.8 lens is a wide-angle prime lens that is suitable for APS-C-sized image sensors and offers a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 18mm. Although it is only compatible with the Fujifilm X-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras, it works seamlessly with the camera's functions, such as exposure control and autofocus. You can also use it in manual focus that works via a wire, which means you actually trigger the auto-focus motor when you manually turn the rings. The lens is equivalent to an 18mm full format. Because it offers an angle view of 99 degrees and a wide field of view, it is fast becoming a favorite for landscape and architecture photographers. But you can use it for more everyday purposes like portraits as well. Taking pictures in low-light environments is easier with the wide f2.8 maximum, and users will have more control in terms of the focus plane. The focal length is 12mm, and it weighs just 9.52 oz., which means it is a neat little tool to add to your gear. The Distagon design of this Carl Zeiss Touit utilizes a floating element design that prevents aberrations and distortion. Carl Zeiss T anti-reflective coatings have been applied to the lense surface to improve light transmission and image contrast. This minimizes surface reflections, flare, and ghosting. The lens is constructed from a metal barrel. The barrel's rubberized control rings allow you to manually focus for high precision shots. The metal bayonet mount keeps the lens securely attached to the camera. A nine-blade aperture will render out-of-focus highlights in your pictures. You may notice when you attach it that the Zeiss Touit 12mm is a notably short, stocky unit. The build quality is a tightly assembled combination of plastic and metal parts, based on a metal mount.
