Product Information

Crack detective Adrian Monk suffers from intense sadness at the loss of his wife and from a disruptive case of obsessive-compulsive disorder, but actor Tony Shaloub plays him with just the right mix of pathos and perfect comic timing. The murder of Monk's wife, Trudy, pushed him to a breaking point, intensifying his problems with his disorder and leading to his being placed on leave from his job as a police detective. Now, working as a private detective, along with his nurse/assistant Sharon (Bitty Schram), Monk acts as a consultant on investigations so tough that the police can't make headway. With his photographic memory and amazing deductive skills, Monk wants only to deal with Trudy's death and to regain his place on the force. Acclaimed for its stellar cast and fresh spin on the detective genre, MONK provides sure comedy.

Great Entertainment
Monk is very well written and sensitive. I love the title character and his vulnerability. Perhaps the very unfortunate illness he has is what makes him so human. OCD is not a funny disease, yet this show, although amusing does not mock or make light of the disease. Its an intelligent, endearing show, in my opinion.

Trouble out there
One of my favorite TV shows of all time. The price is right with this buy! Monk used to be on Netflix but then they took it off while I was mid reaching the series. Wrote a letter to netflix but never heard back.... Very happy my boyfriend got me the series so I can watch it over and over again as many times as my little heart desires. Thank you.

Great deal for a Volume of a t.v. series
We used to watch this show on t.v. When I saw this I had to get my hands on it. Monk is so funny and does his job on the show well despite all of his issues. I really liked it and the price was too good to pass up

Would recommend to anyone who enjoys home entertainment!
I bought the first season for my mom. She was so excited to watch it! The dvd came in good condition, and the episodes were fun and entertaining. Thank you so much! Five stars. :)

How can I put it I've had countless hours of fun and laughter watching this video....why they took Monk off I will never know, he is still funny even today.... thank you

Dated but a fun show to watch
I was recommended this show by a friend, but it wasn’t available through any streaming services. $5 for the first season was an excellent deal to try it out. I think I will be purchasing the second season as well.

Awesome, engaging, detective show with a neurotic, but gentle man who finds clues when no one else can.
Awesome show, love Monk character and the rest of the team really work well together, great chemistry. Highly recommend.

Worthless.
The discs don't play. They stopped[ a few seconds into the MONK episodes. Worthless.
