Industry workhorse
This is one of the industry workhorses. They're just about indestructible, they get things hot and keep them stirred. The ceramic top resists spills and damage. When you need a reliable stirring hotplate, this is the go-to. There are a lot of these out there, because they last, so worth keeping an eye open for, if you need one.

Solid, reliable, and well-constructed
Bullet proof design. Perfect for my application. Simple controls, older unit but solid. Superior to newer, more expensive, lesser units. I spent some time inspecting and replacing the power cord. If you purchase one, spend some time removing the bottom plate and inspecting the cord.
