British to the Core
Great Rockin' Album by Slade... their best for my money. Slade were leaders of the 70's 'Glam Rock' movement in England, along with T-Rex. The band was known for their fun, outgoing stage presence and their high energy, no-frills approach to The Rock. They did have real musical ability as evidenced by their simple but well crafted songs. There is just something refreshing about the band which I can't quite articulate- you really have to hear them. 'SLAYED?' is a very consistent album, one of my faves, and a classic of British Rock. 'Gudbuy T'Jane' by itself is worth the price of admission. Get it!
