This is a book for the true Gil Elvgren fan.
Most complete collection of Gil Elvgren paintings that you will find anywhere. I use this the guide for finding titles, subjects, and the date of the original paintings that are used on the trading cards I have been selling for over 20 years. Beautiful product for Taschen in Germany. Throwback?
Maybe I am a throwback, But I always found this art form fascinating from the realism of the art, to the use of it to get soldiers through WWI and More so WWII. Some of the Pin ups of today are so sexual they leave nothing to the imagination which was the majority of the point of a pinup, the art of the tease.
