Poitier is always a good bet!
Sidney Poitier plays detective Virgil Tibbs investigating a robbery of what turns out to be a company that's a front for the mob. Instead of stealing money the robbers mistakenly nab a shipment of heroin. After finding out who they stole from they try to illicit the help of Tibbs to save them from retrobution from the mob.
