Hakko - A good choice.
This desoldering tool makes restoring vintage electronics easy and repairs look good too. Other desoldering methods are slow and ineffective by comparison. This is the right tool for the job. Well made, so I anticipate it lasting. Brand name, so parts and accessories are available.

Quailty design that will stand the test of time
The price is high, though about the same as its predecessor and respectable for a quality made tool. Could not find any notable faults. This updated unit (replaced the FR300) is a vast improvement. Although the FR300 was great... time, usage and a MFG that listen, has created a remarkable product. Easing and advancing the work load out of the stone age, making the task at hand enjoyable.

Great Great desoldering Gun. The person who works for me wanted to do more boards and said it was fun to operate.
The Day I Received it I desoldered 15 items from a circuit board in 1/100 th of the time that it would the using desolder wick and soldering iron. It was friendly to the traces and pads. the board was useable. I would recommend this product

Most worthy
For a 1st timer at replacing rca output jacks ..I was successful inso doing without damaging the pc board in anyway. Very relieved as you know how car audio can be....no one wants to do it..so i did on my own ($2,000 USD item)

High Quality PC Board Repair Tool !!!
Excellent tool for circuit board repair. I have been repairing printed circuit board s for over 25 years and this is my second Hakko Desoldering tool. Hakko tools are the best for pc board repairs!!!!

Husband uses it often
I don't personally know how well it works but, once my Hubby received it, he's out in the garage using it often. Also, it shipped quickly. We received it earlier than we were told it would arrive.

Costly, but works exactly as expected.
Has saved me so much of my time; plus it is a cleaner job than when I used a solder wick.

I can't believe how well this desoldering gun is. Removes the solder on through- hole circuit boards easily and quickly. Great tool to have.
