    Parcel arrived ahead of time and was left were I requested. Item arrived in like new condition in its original factory packaging which was inside the senders strong well wrapped box. I was best pleased with the quality of the item which was exactly as described by the vendor. Item seemed a bit pricey but you cannot get this quality in a modern equivalent with out paying stupid money. I am a happy man and would definitely buy from this vendor again.

    Record 044C arrived as shown on eBay. The seller offered a generous discount as a sales incentive. Plane was shipped very promptly. Packaging was very minimal. I could feel the contents rattling when first picked up. Plane was shipped in the OEM box wrapped in a heavily taped plastic sheet. The contents were wrapped in minimal bubble wrap and padded with three sheets of newsprint. Despite this, all parts did arrive in perfect, undamaged condition. I would purchase from this seller again.

    Variable geometry makes this a firm favourite...

    This is excellent value and given its competitive price, well-made. Being able to switch between the graphite and a steel point means that either of the compasses can also be used as dividers which is very useful. The variable geometry at the base of the legs is particularly helpful when needing to draw especially small circles or indeed arcs or circles that are wider than the natural span of the legs. For its price, this is a great little kit.

    Almost great, but the big one is too easy to knock off its setting

    The smaller compass is excellent, but on the larger one, the moveable heads don't lock well, no matter how hard you tighten the thumbwheels, so it is very easy to knock them out of position accidentally - at which point your arc no longer has the radius you set it to. It's possible to use it accurately with great care, but I had expected better.

    Helix compass

    Bought this to use in my wood workshop, great tool as I make things as small as buttons and as big as 16 inch fruit bowls. I draw plans on paper as well as wood so don't need a heavy duty compass. This covers a multitude of drawing tools in one box , I recommend this.
