    Seller was great but unfortunately I wont be ordering again due to FedEx being used. Item just as described. Amazing fast shipping. Great Price. Once again some of the boxes were RUINED BY FEDEX. FedEx literally tossed this item in the middle of our road with the oil and mud and it was run over yet Fedex marked it delivered and went on the merry way. Apparently FedEx thinks its ok to toss packages in the middle of the road and mark it delivered.

    Good Quality Threaded Brass Inserts

    These are really nice inserts! I needed 4 of these inserts to allow me to attach a lazy-susan swivel mount to a drum thrown so I could swivel the seat without it squeaking and screeching! To (always!) avoid using a standard flat head screw driver I used a 1/4-20 hex cap screw and an Allen wrench to insert these into the pre-drilled holes: worked great. Don't forget to use some wood glue on the threads, too. Now, no more irritating "screech!" when I play the Tom Toms!

    The internal thread 1/4-20 are great from E-Z LOK threaded inserts for wood are offered in designs for hard and soft wood. Knife thread locking inserts provide a strong, machine thread in hard woods like oak, cherry, and maple.     Buy the installation tool!

    I thought I could install these in really old really hard wood with a humongous screwdriver. No matter how hard I tried, I didn't quite get them straight. The ones that were close required a humongous amount of force at the very end & the ones that weren't quite close ended up in the trash. Fortunately I only needed six & destroyed 3, so I have one left over. Once installed, they work great. Buy the installation tool; cheap for the better installation & avoided frustration.

    EZ Lock modification

    I purchased the kit as well which includes the specific size drill and the installation tool. While the drill size is okay, I found that when installed in harder wood types such as Red Oak, it is better to use a slightly larger size drill for the insert location. This reduces the strain applied to the installation lugs and avoids shearing the lugs when installed.

    Only question....

    This product was excellent. Got it fast and was as advertised. A great product, but there was nothing there to indicate what size hole to drill to use it. Not hard to figure out, but it was a bit inconvenient.
