Davey The King
Even beyond the "Nostalgia" factor, this DVD is highly entertaining and fun to watch as a family, young and old. The Legend and Legacy of Davy Crockett has stood the test of time, like a folk hero, always the "Good Guy", honest and heroic during a different time in history. These two full length movies are compilations and edited story lines from the Original Disney Davey Crockett TV Series The story lines are simple, clean, no profanity and great for a little history lesson for kids, (and adults) Especially Davy Crockett King of the Wild Frontier. And when Davey teams up with Mike Fink, The King of the River...Well, that's how Legends are born!!! Great Nostalgic Film

Sellers and Allen or Allen and Sellers?
This is a totally wild movies that borders on reality. In the mix it is a battle of the beauties where every guy has a host to chose from to make pick a favorite, with all of the in first place, Of course Peter O'Toole is the male heir to the throne of the Prince, but his lack of moral character does detract, but it is all in good fun, except if it were reality. Then there is the shoot out for comic relief. I think Sellers is the winner of Allen in this one, as he is the most insane and over-the-top in ham acting. The supporting cast is to die for and everyone has a shining moment. This is a circus of A "Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum" and any Shakespearian Comedy, with twists and turns and both in physical activity and dialogue. Famous stars of the past!
Baby boomers will remember this one. Wes Parker was one of the famous stars that Disney used to make history. He later became Daniel Boone. He was an idol in the day. Two Disney classics
I remember when I was a kid I loved these movies and would watch them every time they were on The Wonderful World of Disney. They are remastered and better than I remember. Must see movie;Fess Parker really delivers
Fabulous movie. Fess Parker played the part so well. It was entertaining and to know it was a story from history made it that much more exciting. Definitely recommend if you like Daniel Boone you will love this movie. Made me wish they filmed more sequels.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Not exactly history . . .but often close.
If you're looking for a documentary this isn't it. What it is, rather, is good family entertainment. Several incidents in this film are historical fact but don't let the 'legends' dissuade you.
