Disgaea...is it...?
This animated series follows Laharl, Etna and Flonne in a series of adventures and tons of wise cracks that follows the acclaimed AFTERNOON OF DARKNESS game on Playstation 2 I gave it 4 stars and not 5 even if I wanted to because there was a LOT of changes that was too obvious and too frequent that at times would confuse you. If you never played AFTERNOON OF DARKNESS you'll love every second of it...if you're like me and played the game and saw the anime you know exactly what I'm talking about. Still a solid, solid view I just wished they stood to their guns and not change so much in what AFTERNOON OF DARKNESS was made so great. Maybe with more episodes to flesh out everything at a healthy pace would be great. Feels too rushed since it is all packed into only 12 episodes The trio is fun to watch (laharl laughing is 10/10) but...Gordon , Jennifer and Thursday are treated here like team rocket from Pokemon instead of being the funny , unique side characters they are in the game. Funny and entertaining and not a waste of time
I purchased this after viewing a trailer for it in the extras from another series. It is just hilarious and very entertaining to view. I'm not one that plays video games and there were complaints that it didn't follow alongside the games but who cares. It's a lot of fun, not so much for small children, but teens through adults can have a blast.
