The woman doesn't understand...
a word I am saying...It is a very good unit once you figure how to get thru to it where exactly you want to go...sometimes you have to get very creative when entering a destination and the voice recognition is absolutely useless....best part is the memory of places you did get to go to...simply scroll thru the history and there you go...other than that, it has had its moments of usefulness and has helped out when I did finally get my destination entered...easy to use ? not so much...good value? compared to other pricing...Yes...Reliable performance? Works like new
Previously had the Nuvi 3597 but battery died and I broke the screen trying to replace the battery. Looked at newer Garmin GPS but they didn't appear to do much more than the 3597 with the exception of wifi connection. What I liked about the 3597 is it doesn't require having to plug and unplug the USB cable but instead the cable goes to the magnetic mount which makes attaching the 3597 to the windshield mount a breeze. What I received didn't come with the windshield mount or magnet attachment but I had those from the one I messed up. What I received looked and performed just like it was new and battery could be fully charged unlike the one it replaced. Delivery was reasonably fast as well. Better value than newt models
This is my second Garmin 3597. I have had one for a few years. I bought this one to replace an older failing model for my wife’s car. I like everything from the ease of use and sensitivity of the touch-screen to the very detailed verbal directions that it gives. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it sometimes loses Bluetooth connectivity to the snartlinked traffic data. When it does you have to go back in settings. Note this happens with our iPhones. Not sure if it also occurs with other phones. Unlike newt Garmin’s this unit receives both radio transmitted and online traffic without purchasing a separate charger/receiver.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

User-friendliness GPS
I am impressed overall with the improved speed and sophistication of this device, it exceeded my expectations. The Best GPS around!
This gps does it all. It's high definition screen makes getting lost fun! The ability to used the unit Bluetooth versus my car allows me to continue to listen to my radio while talking hands free. The people on the other end can not tell the difference! The ability to see when or how far the nearest restaurant, bank, or gas station is an added plus! Great dvice
I do not like to 'tie up' my phone for directions while driving, especially since I have always preferred the smaller phones like the older Motorola Razr and my current iPhone SE. This Garmin is probably the best one the company ever made. It is attached magnetically to the holder. Very secure but still able to easily detach. It is not so big that it obscures traffic, but big enough to easily see. Attached to the window it allows me to check or follow directions while maintaining eye contact with the traffic. And an incoming call does not interfere with the map screen. And it can be connected to the phone via Bluetooth although I have never utilized this function. It is a shame Garmin is no longer manufacturing this particular device causing inevitable price increases while the supply of the used devices in good condition. First GPS system, and I love it!
I've been wanting a full-featured GPS system to assist me with my inter-city travels for years. All the other systems I considered either didn't have the features I wanted such as live traffic and 3D views, or were too expensive for my budget. The Garmin Nuvi 3597LMTHD has all these features (and more) at an excellent price point (I purchased a refurbished unit). So, I took the plunge. The system has high-speed traffic (lifetime subscription included with no ads!), 3D viewing, route planning, speed limit info, lane assist, and a sexy female voice to tell me where to go, what to do, and when to do it. I have encountered no glitches since powering it up a week ago. Downloading new maps and apps was easy as pie. One of the best features is the magnetic mount that come with the system - just get the screen close to the mount and it grabs the screen and puts it in exactly the right spot every time.
