    "Better than average bear and fun to watch. Great worm effects!"

    As far as I know, nobody has attempted to adapt further installments of the Dune series except for this melodrama featuring Alice Krige as Paul's mom, Susan Sarandon as a deliciously naughty villain, and a young James MacAvoy as the son of Paul Atraedes. This was a a sci-fi channel original in 3 parts, and aside from a less than brilliant script and some sloppy early CGI, it is still fun, and the scenes of Leto running like a superhuman as he transforms into the worm are really exhilarating.

    Dune saga continues most excellently...

    For SciFi Dune lovers, this movie is a thrilling fulfilling continuation of Frank Herbert's Dune saga. Awesome special effects and well acted characters. Now I'm dying to see God Emperor of Dune DVD when available or continuing movies up to Chapterhouse: Dune. A must see for Dune fans and reasonably priced, fast shipment.

    Children of Dune - Excellent.

    This, the sequel to the Scifi channels (they weren't that insipid SyFy yet) is actually adaptations of two books in one. Dune Messiah, and Children of Dune. While it didn't have the budget of David Lynch's abysmal film, it did so much more. The story is quite recognizable as coming from the books, the actors are well cast and perform their parts well. All in all, it's worth watching several times over.

    A continuation of the epic Dune, but different too

    The SciFi version of Dune was epic! Far superior to the movie, the miniseries was able to expand on so much more story than the movie was. This tv miniseries is a combination of Dune Messiah and Children of Dune, so it also has the ability to expand upon more story, and does so, just with several different characters from the original Dune miniseries. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this miniseries. The focus is on Paul's children, but also involves Paul and what becomes of him. If you liked Dune, you should like this miniseries as well.
