    How countries interact on the geo-political level.

    Tim Marshall writes with intelligence and clarity and makes complex issues very accessible. If I was still teaching Geography in school, I would want all my scholars to read this. Highly recommend.

    Prisoners of geography

    As a geography graduate myself and having an interest in politics I was so interested to dip into this book which I purchased for my grandson. He is studying politics as an A level subject and particularly wanted it. I now intend to buy a copy for myself!! It gave me such an interesting background to the present problems in Afghanistan and it’s surrounding countries.

    A brilliant informative read

    This has been so interesting. It has helped to gain more of an understanding on how geography shapes politics. It has also helped me understand on a greater level the present epidemic world with heightened technology challenging demographics.

    A must-read for everyone.

    Anyone who has the slightest interest in what's happening on the world stage must read this book to gain an understanding of why we're in the predicament that we're in. The book is very well written, accessible and engaging, and set out in such a way that you can dip into it as well as reading it from cover to cover.

    Accessible and very enjoyable.

    It's been said by wiser people than me, this book is a brilliant and accessible explanation for much of the world' problems today. However, it is s good deal more than that
