Digitally re-mastered and expanded deluxe two CD edition of this 1983 album from the Hard Rock/Metal legends including a bonus disc containing an additional 11 tracks. Born Again was the band's first album since Ronnie James Dio departed and remains their sole album with Deep Purple's Ian Gillan on vocals. Produced by Black Sabbath and co-producer Robin Black, who had also worked on 1975's Sabotage, 1976's Technical Ecstasy, and 1978's Never Say Die, Sabbath's eleventh studio release would represent a radical departure from the gloomy atmospherics and blackened lyricism that had forged their identity and spawned innumerable descendants. The bonus disc contains a previously unreleased track, an extended version and nine tracks from the BBC Friday Rock Show broadcast of Black Sabbath's appearance at the Reading Rock Festival in August 1983. The CD showed up in perfect condition, as described in the listing, very well worth the price.     Purple Sabbath!

    The best of two worlds. Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. PURPLE SABBATH! Pure rock and roll. The live tracks are amazing! A little muddy on the instrumental front but the vocals make the whole album shine. So very glad I bought the deluxe expanded born again version of the CD!

    Black Sabbath Born Again?

    Don't waste your time. Not reminiscent of smoke on the water, highway star, or even black Sabbath. One maybe two songs worth recording. I heard the one song "trashed", and I thought the album would be great, so I bought it. Turns out that was the only song worth listening to.

    Great Black Sabbath album.

    One of Black Sabbath's best albums with slick nice packaging. Contains a bonus disc of great studio tracks and live rendition of Black Sabbath doing smoke on the water.

    A great album made even greater: BORN AGAIN

    I'd previously owned the "regular" version of Born Again. So, I went into this purchase already knowing I'd enjoy this remastered 2 CD edition. Now that I have it, I'm excited to listen to it.
