The price paid is better since I could not afford the popular named brands one that costs way more. The appearance is okay but wasn't sure if the plastic covering the metal plate is supposed to be there or could it be taken off. The plastic covering seemed to have been peeled off a bit so I couldn't make it look new so I took it off entirely.

Lead wires seem to be made with silicone insulation and are very easy to manipulate and move around. Box emits a faint hum when turned on and it works well to make grass tufts! Have not yet used the shaker to emit a static field away from the box. Be sure to avoid touching the top plate while the device is turned on or you will get a small zap. Probably not good for those who have a pacemaker or other electronic implant. Would buy again!
