I contacted the seller, explained the situation, and they agreed to send a replacement watch. The replacement arrived today, and paired with the app without any bother. It's working fine, and I'm happy with it. I would recommend this seller on the basis of how they responded to the situation.

I contacted the seller who immediately sent me a replacement charger, again very quickly. The replacement charger works perfectly. The price of the charger was reasonable, as in Australia this is an item that is sometimes hard to find.
