    Mysteries, Twists, and a Surprise,

    Great plot with unexpected twists and turns. The first in the Daniel Pitt Series. If you love mysteries, the 1900s, and learning about different times, this is a story for you.

    Great start on a new series

    This is a very capable start to a new series from Anne Perry. Daniel the son of Charlotte and Thomas Pitt is the star here. A young and budding lawyer he proves he is his parents son! And his parents do still have a side role in this new series.. his father is still head of Special Branch. So a new but very, very familiar series with Perry's typical moralizing dilemmas with excellent plots and characters.
