Product Information

With its pretty songs and good characters, THUMBELINA will delight children. The film--which uses more computer graphics than previous Don Bluth films--tells the fable of the Hans Christian Andersen heroine Thumbelina (Jodi Benson), a tiny girl born to a childless woman from a flower. Longing to find someone her size, she falls in love with a fairy prince, Cornelius (Gary Imhoff), only to be kidnapped by a band of show business toads and their singing Ma (Charo). That's just the beginning of Thumbelina's adventures and her quest to be reunited with her prince--and it's an adventure filled with danger and excitement.

    ok for people who like princess movies

    I remember seeing this movie in theaters and loved it as a kid. I watch it now as an adult and I don't care for it anymore. I am sure kids will love it. It has one good song in this whole entire movie. The rest is more annoying. I only like very few characters and the rest are either very annoying or stereotyped. In this cartoon, the little girl is lost and then many characters fall in love with her and force her to marry them. They try and make her feel guilty if she doesn't marry them and they don't take no for an answer, which is what I do not care for. The prince saves her and they get married. It's a Don Bluth movie, but not one of his best.

    IWhile I haven't yet opened this birthday gift for a set of twins in the family, I'm especially happy to have it to accompany a treasured copy of the book I also plan to give. Thank you for being prompt.

    Excellent movie!

    LOVED this movie as a kid, and even now in my 20's I still enjoy it and its wide variety of songs and characters! Dynamic characters and songs that everyone can enjoy, I would recommend this for any movie lover. Goes into how the lovable icon came to be and her journey into finding true love. Soo many have confused this as a Walt Disney movie, but it is not. It has many similar graphics to that of the famous movie producer but is actually a Hans Christian Anderson movie. But, please, don't let that deter you from watching it! It's an amazing movie and fun for the entire family to enjoy! :)

    Arrived earlier than expected. The DVD itself has no scratches and the outside has a bit of visible wear and tear, but nothing too major.
