Product Information

Loosely based on a true story about the efforts of one man to bring marriageable women to the forests of the Pacific Northwest in the 1870s, this vintage comedy from the 1960s was set in a Seattle logging community. The workers are threatening to leave due to the scarcity of women, so the camp owners, the Bolt brothers (Robert Brown, Bobby Sherman, and David Soul) do the only thing they can: import 100 women from Massachusetts. The brothers pull this off only by borrowing money from their rival, Aaron Stempel (Mark Lenard), whose terms dictate that all the women have to remain for an entire year, during which all quotas must be met. If not, he takes control of the Bolt brothers' mountain. Much mischief ensues as the girls acclimate to camp life, while Stempel does everything he can to impede that process and make them give up.

    Overall good condition/value but with a few caveats. Seller didn't know how to send extra images and there was a bit of damage that was cut off from the listed images on 2 separate books. Also wish there was a little more care on packing for a $100 and $40 paperback book but thankfully they seemed alright despite only being sent with packing paper to prevent sliding. Packing tape was coming off the box, causing the box to be open a bit. Overall okay though and completed my collection. Thanks!

    Excellent. I had been after this book for some time and was delighted to get it at a good price and it was a very nice surprise to find it had been signed by the author ! which wasn't mentioned in the description. Item was received in tip top condition weeks ahead of the expected delivery date but a touch more packaging - maybe a bit of bubble wrap ? around the book might have been a good idea ? Anyway I'm very happy. Thanks !

    Comedy, drama and social commentary makes me smile

    Each episode of this series is as well crafted as an MGM production during the golden age of movies. The chemistry and energy of the cast is outstanding. The musical score harkens to the days when the background sounds were a match for the action and dialogue. I remembered watching this show with my family as a kid, but I had forgotten how engaging it was. Susan Tolsky was and is delightful as whacky Biddie Cloom. This show should have continued for many more years! Ordering was effortless and delivery was quick, very satisfied with this purchase.

    HERE COME THE BRIDES 1ST SEASON

    I looked for this for a long time - I was 12 years old when it first aired and I've had a hankering for nostalgia! I was delighted to find someone selling the first season at a price that was reasonable and I am absolutely delighted with my purchase.

    Fun, clean and a total delight to watch!

    It is a great look back into my childhood. I watch my DVD's on my 4k TV and the video quality is very fine. Better than the original television broadcasts.

    something my mother loved

    my mother who passed away from cervical cancer on April 3rd 2018 this was her favorite show when she was 13 in 1968 it taught her morals about being marriageable and pure she shared the show with me last years of her life the show means the world to me and watching it brings me closer to her if you want a good show this is worth the money here comes the brides is it 😊
