Product Information

Nintendo's turn-based military strategy series continues with Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. As the ominous subtitle suggests, the game takes place on a ravaged Earth with civilization teetering on the brink of despair. Meteorites have all but wiped out modern-day conveniences and amenities, with the tattered remnants of two former superpowers vying for control. One vows to protect Earth's survivors, while the other intends on finishing them off. In addition to a bleaker setting filled with sepia toned cut-scenes, Days of Ruin offers four-player online support via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Solo commanders can embark on a story-driven campaign spanning 26 missions, gradually unlocking additional training missions as well as map editor for custom scenarios.

    The first NES I got was, unfortunately, defective, although to be fair, it did look like it had probably been damaged during shipping. Resolving the issue was super easy. Big credit to the seller for responding to my messages immediately, sending me a replacement unit (which worked great), and sending me a label to send back the defective unit. The seller was cool about the whole process and immediately volunteered to make it right. Would definitely buy from them again.

    Peak of turn-based military unit combat design

    I'm a professional game designer, and this series of games is just beautifully designed, perhaps the peak of turn-based combat with its own fantasy story but a great tie-in to real world military units, roughly from WW2 to the 1960's. The opponent AI is best of class in this particular final version "Days of Ruin", the enemies are much more challenging than in previous versions.

    Pretty good buy

    Product came at the right time and was in great shape. The game is the same that I remember back in the day when I had my old copy of it and it work really well

    Advance Wars is Advanced Fun!

    If you like strategy games with a compelling story, easy to learn but hard to master mechanics, and incredible replay value, than this is the game for you!

    Fun turn-based strategy

    A classic of the advanced wars series. Very enjoyable and balanced game. Love these games

    The worst in the series

    They took away all the charm and fun from Advance Wars in this one. They even made the game mechanics slightly worse. Decent storyline.
