A Must View for Dickens' fans!
This series serves as a "prequel" to many favorite Dickens' novels. The writer cleverly places many characters from several novels in the same place at the same time, all tied to the question of who killed Jacob Marley. My favorite part involved the relationship between Meriwether Compeyson and Amelia Havisham from "Great Expectations." Although I have never read "Bleak House," I plan to do so because I want to find out what happens to child Honoria Barbary assumed was dead but actually had been given away by her sister Frances. Scrooge, Fagin, Bill Sykes, Nancy, Little Nell, Mr. Venus, Bob Crachit, Mr. Bumble, Mrs. Gamp - they're all here - in an ingenious story that is a must for any Dickens fan and pure entertainment for any viewer who enjoys quality programming.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Dickensian DVD
I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed watching this show. It has all of Dickens' famous and infamous characters in a wonderful tale of murder (won't tell you who), romance and comedy. Impressive

Luv this Movie!
Being of the persuasion that Dickens is genius, this movie was just my cup of tea! It was nice to see some great imaginative backgrounds of many great Dickens stories magically interwoven into an absolute thoroughly entertaining movie! Surprises throughout as each story blends into the next!!

"Dickensian" is top notch entertainment.
This is an outstanding DVD in every way. Having read all of Dickens's novels, I can vouch for the authenticity of this imaginative portrayal of the characters' lives and personalities prior to their appearance in "A Christmas Carol", "Bleak House", "Great Expectations", Oliver Twist", and other books. The plot of "Dickensian" is intricate and suspenseful (Wait until you find out who killed Marley!) and the characters are sympathetic. The final scene is beautiful and touching.
