An overall excellent product.
I and my other watercolor students and teachers prefer this paper. It isn't really paper, it's made of cotton fibers which makes it stand up to layering, repeated wetting, and lifting very well. The blocks help keep the paper from rippling when wet, let the colors glide over the surface and hold their brilliance. An overall excellent product. Although expensive it is worth the extra money for the toughness and ease of use for the painter. We all do wish it was less expensive though, but we've used the bargain brands and they just do not hold up well in use, so we pay the extra to have a better painting experience.

Arches never fails me
Never disappoints. I struggled with watercolors before Arches. The paper makes all of the difference. I’m not a professional but my painting technique is improving and wasted too much money on crappy paper. It’s fine for color mixing and some quick practice but Arches is taking my art to a new level and I’m back painting after decades. It’s truly worth a few extra dollars- I’m happy to be creative once again.

Even if I make a mistake in my watercolor picture, I can erase and you'd never know it was there!

Best paper around
Arches is the best watercolor paper available. For some reason, its price Has gone up seriously in the last couple of months.
