A Must Read for All Peoples, Faiths and Governments
The "Reliance of the Traveller" is the Book of Islamic Law. This is the Law that is followed today. It is an excellent "stand alone" book. This book is well written, is easy to understand and Keller is good in explaining terms which most westerners would not usually understand. I encourage all people, no matter who you are or what you believe, to read it and understand how it applies to non Muslims. Where the Koran is (shuffled) out of Chronological to the mystery of non believers, The Reliance of the Traveller is divided into sections from a-z and has comprehensive section index and subject index. Each section is cross-referenced to the Koran and Sunna (biographies of The Prophet by their most reliable scholars). Sections of most interest to non Muslims: k:Trade, m: Marriage(treatment of women), o:Justice, p:Enormities (massive breaches of law) r:Holding Ones Tongue(when to speak, when to shut up, when to give a particular impression), The subject index is a treasure trove of specific interests to Non-Muslims. It is comprehensive. If you want to know how Islamic Law applies to you as an individual, look up the term (Non-Muslim, Christian ect.) that best describes who you are and you will find the reference as to how Islamic Law applies to you. I highly recommend this book to every person in the world. This book should be in everybody's library.

A must read.. knowledge is key
Islamic books like this are of our Islamic past.. so as to learn like a history. It also lets you know how to live a healthy and pious life. Thirdly.. it helps us to assist others. Many misunderstand Shariah. It is how to live fairly, equally, and healthy. Islam is so similar to a few other religions. This book gives complete instructions on some of those ways. Is best when reading the many pages.. to not think many of these practices are still done nowadays. Is only a history, so as to know what is best not to repeat. This is a good resource to add to your library collection.
