With built-in Wi-Fi, snapshots can be safely sent over a network to your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Eye-Fi Pro X2 memory cards even instantly connect when your camera is turned on. This process will help free up space immediately on the Eye-Fi card so you can get right back to capturing more photos and videos. Outdoors, the Wi-Fi operates with a range of 90 feet. Indoors, the range is 45 feet. The encrypted card uses WPA2 security and a password to make sure that your media is kept secure during the transfer process. The files will transfer wirelessly to both Mac and PC computers. It also works with both iOS and Android phones and tablets. Users can also set up cloud backup to provide extra protection for the preservation of every priceless photo.Most digital cameras that accept SDHC cards can use this advanced model of card. Certain cameras, including models from popular brands like Nikon, Canon, and Sony, are Eye-Fi Connected. This designation means that those cameras work particularly well with the technology in this SD card. Seamless operation and additional features are some of the perks of using an Eye-Fi Connected model of camera. In addition to a compatible camera, the Eye-Fi Pro X2 requires a computer with MAC OS 10.5 or later or one with Windows SP3, Vista, or Win7. It also requires an 802.11 b/g/n 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi router.Those who want extra editing capabilities will appreciate the ability to save and transfer your media in not only JPEG format but also RAW. Users of Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom software can set up the programs to grab these RAW files. The programs can even apply presets to the media to speed up your editing process. Your pictures will also be organized for you automatically by the date they were taken on your Eye-Fi card. Therefore, finding your favorite images is always a breeze. If you would prefer for the card not to sort the snapshots into dated subfolders, you can turn off this feature. In that case, all pictures will go into one main folder together on the card. Plus, after you use your network to upload to your phone, tablet, or computer, you can do further organizing there. Use your favorite desktop, iPhone, iPad, or other device software to keep your captured memories in order and then edit them to your liking.
