This cartoon originally surfaced in the early 1970s, and was a bizarre caricature of American family life of the era. The show is based around the Boyles, who consist of a husband and wife and their three children. The Boyles' young nine-year-old, Jamie, displays frighteningly advanced knowledge of economics, while his brother, Chet, sleeps a lot, and his sister, Alice, campaigns for women's rights. Fans of kooky cartoons such as SPACE GHOST and the various offerings of the Adult Swim brand should find plenty of amusement in this complete first season of episodes from WAIT TILL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME.

    4 disc collection, nice dvd case and slip cover, 4th disc includes special features.

    I have fond memories growing up watching this, the artwork was considered pretty basic but the characters and writing made up for it in spades. This was a ground breaking cartoon back in it's day and still holds up today. Definitely showcases what families go through dealing with the generation gap, great features on the 4th disc showcasing it's creators Bios and how the series came together. I enjoy having friends over, playing board games and throwing one of these discs on for them to discover how funny this cartoon is.

    We waited a long time for a father to get home

    I watched this as a kid couldn't wait to own it unfortunately it seems like the Discs were not manufactured correctly certain scenes will not play bought brought back such great memories seeing what I did if you would like simple art cartooning and times this is the set for you hopefully they will release the other seasons soon as well.

    Tom Bosley cartoon

    Happy Days was from the 1950s, and Wait Till Your Father Gets Home is from the early 1970s; furthermore, each show has the loveable Tom Bosely as the understanding father. Similar to Family Guy and The Simpsons, this animated TV show on 4 DVDs (24 episodes) pushes the social boundaries by tackling the big issues from the Viet Nam era.

    LOVED THIS SHOW BACK IN THE DAY! VERY FUNNY!

    WAIT TILL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME is pretty funny and I really loved the artwork style of the show! Loved it! SO good to see one of my favorite childhood cartoon shows again! Highly recommended!
