LIONEL Postwar 6418 16 wheel flatcar
Lionel no. 6418 is an extra long (16”+) heavy die cast body depressed center flatcar. It features 8 wheel trucks with operating couplers at each end. Originally sold with a variety of Lionel bridge side girders ( sides only, no floor) in various colors with & without LIONEL lettering molded on the outsides painted or unpainted or US STEEL. This a versatile car for carrying any kind of large long load. When purchased used, often missed the original girders. Due to its length & 16 wheels, requires 054-072 curve radius for optimum operating.
