Don't let the title fool you... There are no killer dolls in this movie! This "Child's Play" was made long before "Chucky". It's the film of the Broadway play of the same title, involving mysterious outbreaks of violence among the students of a Catholic boy's school. James Mason and Robert Preston give fine performances as two faculty members, and Beau Bridges plays the newest teacher who is a former student of the school (a role that won a Tony Award for Ken Howard in the stage version). Well directed and suspenseful, this overlooked gem is a movie worth watching!
