Take the role of either paranormal investigator Edward Carnby or archeologist Aline Cedrac and guide your hero through dark corridors filled with deadly creatures and hidden clues. Great game !
I really like the graphics, they are pre-rendered so they still look good today . The game is a lot of exploring to find keys to open doors looking for ammo and a save medallion and statues to collect. You have to find the save medallion or whatever they call it to save your game . You can choose one of two characters to play each with different starting points in the same story ..l like the game overall I'm sure it was fantastic back when it was new and still good today . The one thing I don't like about it is you control your character with the D pad not the thumb stick . The thumb stick controls your flash light but once you get use to it it's ok overall great game ..

Reliving my childhood with the Dreamcast!
I've been buying up a lot of the video games I enjoyed as a kid. When I came across Alone in the Dark, there was no way I could pass up on the enjoyment I had playing this game in the early 2000's as a young teenager. Simply one of the best in the survival horror genre from the early 00's and on the Dreamcast!
