NotesEnglish pop duo Sing Out Sister translated '60s jazz, soul and funk into this amazing, highly danceable pop album from 1992. Both covers from the era and originals you'd think were classics already abound on this great tape.
I became hooked on SOS since their first hit "Breakout" from their first album "It's Better To Travel" debuted in the mid-late 80s. Corrinne Drewry's sultry, almost flute-like vocals blending with Andy Connell's brilliant compositions and arrangements create a very catchy, modern jazzy/techno-beat hybrid sound that's very easy on my ears. I've been slowly but steadily collecting their albums for my easy listeninng library. So glad I was able to snag a copy of this CD. My collection is incomplete without it (pun intended).
