Overall good condition/value but with a few caveats. Seller didn't know how to send extra images and there was a bit of damage that was cut off from the listed images on 2 separate books. Also wish there was a little more care on packing for a $100 and $40 paperback book but thankfully they seemed alright despite only being sent with packing paper to prevent sliding. Packing tape was coming off the box, causing the box to be open a bit. Overall okay though and completed my collection. Thanks!

Excellent. I had been after this book for some time and was delighted to get it at a good price and it was a very nice surprise to find it had been signed by the author ! which wasn't mentioned in the description. Item was received in tip top condition weeks ahead of the expected delivery date but a touch more packaging - maybe a bit of bubble wrap ? around the book might have been a good idea ? Anyway I'm very happy. Thanks !

Eerie and hypnotizing
Good luck trying to figure this out as you watch it the first time but, if you're like me, you'll love the trip. As usual, Lynch sets a mysterious, dreamlike mood and uses lots of shockingly unexpected images. Everything is a bit off-kilter. In turns you'll be scared, sad, or worried and have no real idea why. He keeps you on the edge of your seat because you never know for sure what shocking surprise will come at any time. You'll be all into a scene in present day L.A. and then be jerked back to a generation earlier in Poland with seemingly no rhyme or reason. Lynch loves Laura Dern's expressive face and you can see why after watching this. Having no clue as to what I had just seen I looked up a number of explanations of the plot by reviewers who had spent a lot of time trying to ... The film itself is, in my opinion, the most interesting thing David Lynch has done since "Eraserhead". It's a mind-bending journey into alternate realities that throws conventional narrative in the wastebin and so is definitely not for everyone. It would look better in Blu-ray, but I wanted that short.I bought the DVD set for the supplement disc, which includes the short "Quinoa", not included on the Blu-ray set. I'd been having trouble finding Inland Empire on DVD for the US Region. I was happy to finally find it for a price I could manage. I cannot offer a review of the movie itself, other than to say if you do not like David Lynch already, you probably will not like this. If you like Lynch and are interested in methods of filmmaking, check it out to see what he does with digital video.
