My father who went through two tours of Vietnam felt it told an accurate story of his experience in the fields and jungles of Vietnam. It takes an emotional tour through the experiences of our soldiers in Nam and their return. Its a tour du force that left even me, a non-Veteran, exhausted at the end. I've seen a lot of Vietnam documentaries in my lifetime trying to understand my father but this movie was by far the closest I've come to understanding his experiences. The sheer number of video clips and photos and interviews was outstanding. It gave me a whole new perspective on the war. I recommend it to anyone who wonders why our soldiers return with PTSD or to anyone who felt that Vietnam was an unpopular war.
What an awesome series, Tells in great detail how these brave men fought and died for our country, and there experiences in Vietnam. The film footage, there detailed stories puts into perspective what they dealt with on a daily basis.
The only bad thing about it, i wish it was longer!
