Hoover carpet cleaner motor
My friend likes this particular cleaner so I located this motor on ebay and installed it. For some reason carpet lint was getting through the seals and blocking input air to the motor vacuum impellar. After disecting the motor it seemed that the blockage caused the motor to overheat and damage one of the two main bearings... Apparently when someone borrowed the machine they did not pre vacuum which is necessary to keep the machine unclothed... These are 'consumer' machines and must not be overused and used in a manner reflecting that limitation. I Have a 20 year old Hoover that still works pretty good. I have torn into it to clean out but never an issue with the motor. If able to do so I recommend replacing a bad motor on these machines properly to extend usage. Back in service.
Back in service. The motor on our Hoover SpinScrub Delux started putting of an ozone smell. I took the machine apart (using an online video, though I had to figure out getting the motor out and replacing it myself). I went in line to find the correct motor. It arrived in two days. I made the swap, put everything back together, and it works great!

New motor works great
Motor came on time and as advertised. $50 including delivery to fix a $250 carpet cleaner was a bargain. Installation took about an hour. Lots of screws to disassemble and install motor, but they are all the same dimension, so it wasn't terribly difficult.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

The motor was exactly the same dimensions as the defective motor it replaced. It came with new gaskets and seals. It works well.
