An atomic submarine cruising the Pacific discovers a gargantuan octopus concealed in the ocean depths. By the time they figure out that the monster is the nasty by-product of a hydrogen bomb experiment gone awry, the creature is already well on its way to destroying San Francisco. The sea creature is yet another fantastic example of masterful stop-motion animation from the technique's master, Ray Harryhausen.

Oh my a giant squid?
I recommend this movie to those that like the old monster stop motion scifi creatures. What makes this even better is that it also comes in with DVD's that is in one with color version so you get the two for the price of one! An who can forget that squid climbing its tentacles around the bridge! The is even features of it which often don't come with these old movies but this two disc comes for those of us who enjoy extra features to enjoy.

Great colorized version!
Super 50s sci fi gem. The colorized version gives new life to the film. The extras are informative and give us insight into special effects before digital.

like most black and white colorized just seems to improve the movie very good story enjoyed

Good B movie
1950's B movie. Saw it the first time with family at a drive in theater-scared the begebers out of us kids. A great time was had by all.
