Very happy with the purchase of 1TB Western Digital Disk Drive.
I bought two 1TB drives. One was this Western Digital and the other a 1Tb Seagate. I have several drives made by each company and in 3.5 and 2.5. Both the latest two are now installed in my computers and working well. I have already given a favourable review on the Seagate and I am equally happy to give a favourable review on this Disk. I am very happy with this purchase.

From 100% system failure to a much better place
Ghosted an image onto this blue beast from a backup disk and wam-bam kah-pam! Super quiet, fully 40% speed increase (across the board), and 100% stable. Went from 'Oh woe is me! to 'One happy bunny' in a single move. Thanks guys!

Quietest Hard Drive I have ever seen.
This is undoubtedly the quietest hard drive I have ever seen. I have been building and repairing computers since the late 80s, and this one is outstanding. It is noticeably faster than others advertised as being SATA 6GB. All at the right price too.

Good value hard drive. Not yet used this one but have same brand ones in use. Very good.

Great quality drive that works brilliantly.
Western Digital make great quality drives and this is no exception. Even second hand ones are reliable and quiet. I did a full disk check and there were no errors.

Plenty of space

Great so far. Cheap storage solution, not as fast as a SSD but a fraction of the price.
I did a lot of research into this product. There were 2 areas which I was worried about. One was the speed (read/write) of the drive, and the second was the potential noise that the drive might make. I saw many 'Youtube' videos showing similar drives producing various loud mechanical noises. I am quite happy that the drive reads and writes at 160MB/s. There is absolutely no noise to be heard from the drive itself when it's loading games or being written to. So quite happy.

Good drives at a nice price.
Used as a pair of replacements in my C.S.L pc. One for system and the other for backup. The original W.D system drive lasted over 4 years of constant battering until errors crept in during a disk check session. I replaced and cloned the drive before total collapse occurred. At this price, it's a painless exercise! Lesson-your hard drives don't last forever-check and replace.

Good value for the price
It has a quick boot up time, under 30sec and really quite. Maybe it's still very empty and hasn't been loaded with lots of programs and applications but if it stays the same that's definitely a good bargain.
